Dave Morris

Dave is one of our Solo Cornet players. There was a moment in our history where the rest of the band had begun to believe you had to have the Christian name of David to play solo cornet, but in recent years that trend has begun to change! Dave is a bandsmen at Southsea Citadel where, amongst other things, he is the Band Secretary. He played Flugal Horn for 25 years with Southsea Citadel and has been a member for over 50 years now. At present, though he plays cornet, he is also the Principle cornet of Spinnaker Brass - a contesting band which this year (2012) came 5th out of 26 bands in the regional qualifiers.

He has enjoyed the experience of being with the Solent Fellowship band for the past 6 years.
