NEW MEMBER

The band has welcomed Jean Jevon on to the cornet section.
Jean learnt to play in the Junior Band at the Lancaster Corps of the Salvation Army. At the age of 17 she joined the Central Band of the Royal Air Force stationed at Uxbridge.
After five years with the band, she returned to Lancaster and joined the Lancashire Constabulary Band. Later Jean returned to Salvation Army banding, first at Lancaster and then
at Morecambe where she conducted the Junior Band for twelve years before moving to the south coast. For a number of years she lost contact with the Salvation Army, but having heard the band playing at a recent Christmas Concert, she realised how much she was missing the music of the Salvation Army, we are delighted to have her as a member of the band.
