Simon Easton

Simon plays Solo cornet in the Fellowship band, and follows in the footsteps of his father and grandfather in his love of the music of the Salvation Army. Having first learned to play trumpet, he enjoyed the opportunity to practice with Plumstead S.A band in his teens, and then went on to play in various other brass bands, including the Royal Doulton band, whilst living in the northwest and qualifying as a clinical psychologist. He moved south in 1985, and lives in Portsmouth with his wife Caroline and their two children. Simon works part time at the University of Portsmouth, and has a psychology practice in Southampton. Given the opportunity (when not serving as taxi driver for his children!), he enjoys walking, cooking and reading history.
