Kaytie Harding

Kaytie was the guest soloist with the band at their popular charity concert in October 2007, where we raised nearly £3,000. She has close ties to the band, not least being that her mother Ann is the bands 1st Trombone player! Her father Mike a former euphonium with the band.

Kaytie’s vocal versatility makes her equally at home in jazz, gospel or classical soprano repertoire. She has performed with a number of professional vocal ensembles including London Sinfonietta Voices and London Voices, who provided the sound tracks for Star Wars and Lord of The Rings. February 2007 saw her as the soloist with the Royal Marines Band at the Mountbatten festival of Music at The Royal Albert Hall. She also sings with The Shout, a jazz/world music/contemporary fusion vocal group whose work in 2006 in the UK alone has included appearances at the Proms, National Portrait Gallery, Trafalgar Square and a tour in October. Kaytie’s teaching work is constantly growing as she continues to work with those who consider themselves unable to sing. She directs her own group, Who Dares Sings, is a member of the National Voice Practitioners’ Network and is currently developing her own practice of therapeutic singing.
